The Case of Hana & Alice

When the camera moves it’s always good to have a reason behind it whether it’s practical or narrative driven. Camera movement with perspective changes is even more dynamic in traditional animation since it’s a lot rarer. This rarity makes the camera move a powerful visual storytelling tool and The Case of Hana & Alice made use of it to a great effect.

The Case of Hana & Alice is a story about two teenage girls dealing with significant changes in their lives. The movie conveyed these changes through camera movement and perspective changes. Horizontal tracking shots were utilized as a visual metaphor for the pivotal transitions in the story and the characters’ development. The rare perspective changes in these shots aided in giving more emphasis to the visual metaphor.

The first horizontal tracking shot of the movie is Alice and her mother walking to her new school. Transferring to another school comes with the challenges of getting to know new people, getting accustomed with a new environment and dealing with bullies. It’s a big change in life and the tracking shot helped visually demonstrate it.

The perspective changes in this shot are also quite subtle. It’s really only noticeable in the shadows and stains on the ground. These small changes can represent how little we know about the characters but as the viewers get to know them more the perspective changes become more drastic.

There’s also parallax scrolling in these shots but it’s merely an illusion of depth with no actual changes in perspective lines.

Prior to the shot above Alice’s father was encouraging her to join the relay team. The tracking shot is more than just a sign of her joining the relay team; it’s an emphasis on the major changes it will bring. Not only being in the relay team helped her fit in with her classmates but it also lead to knowing more about Hana and eventually meeting her.

The tracking shot beginning with a walk and ending with a run can also be interpreted as an escalation in the story and character development. After this shot the story became much more adventurous, emotional and personal.

The tracking shot above marks the beginning of a close friendship. Alice has become comfortable enough with Hana to hug her and ask a personal question about why she has become isolated. Shortly after this scene Hana shares her deeply personal and emotional reasons on why she ended up as a shut-in.

There were a few more tracking shots like these in the movie but these three were the most effective in demonstrating its use as a visual metaphor for change.

My Top 5 Favorite Hero vs. Villain Duos

Hello Minna,
It's me, Anime Girl. I hope you're all doing fine.
Before writing a new anime review I thought about posting another "My Top 5" and here it is now. It took a while to decide the topic of this post but while browsing trough some forums I came across an interesting question regarding Akatsuki no Yona.  It made me thing about it and I suddenly got the idea for this post. So, here for you, MY TOP 5 FAVORITE HERO VS. VILLAIN DUOS

5.Van Hohenheim vs. "Father" (Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood)

I am sure that all of you know this duo. Not only did the anime Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood give us an amazing story, but it also gave us the perfect Hero vs. Villain duo. The father of our protagonists Ed and Al and the father of the homonuculi. Why I put them in my top5? Well obviously because of their story  but since I don't want to spoil sth. I wont talk much about it. Still the thing that makes these two so interesting are their looks which is again a result of the story it self (It's really hard to talk about stuff when you don't want to spoil anything). Once servant and master, then friends and in the end sworn enemies that wish to destroy each other. Amazing due, desu ne?

4. Yato vs. Bishamonten (Noragami & Noragami Aragoto)

What looks like a hilarious cartoon story is actually a deep story between two enemies, where neither one nor the other is the actual villain, but they are still have the kind enemy vs. enemy relationship. It's a fight between Gods that couldn't be more different in personality. The happy-go-lucky on one side, where on the other side you have the overly protective and serious Bishamonten. The story of the two Gods is made up of the present and the background story which made all of this happen. And even tough Noragami is more like a comedy, the Yato vs. Bishamonten story is kinda serious and very deep, making it extremely interesting to watch. It was also the reason I liked the second season more than the first one and the reason that this duo, made it on the fourth place.

3. L vs. Kira (Death Note)

I think a lot of you will hate me for not putting these two on place 1, but I didn't. I am sorry. However, they remain one of the most amazing duos ever. The reason for that is definitely the fact that you hate and love both at the same time. While watching death Note you cannot decide which one of these is the hero and who is the villain. Kira or Light is the "hero" as protagonist but the actual hero that is trying to save everyone is L. And then again you thing for a moment that Kira is doing something good, but... death Note really makes you think about humanity. I actually see the Death Note notebook as the death penalty in real life, and to be honest, no one should have the right to take away someone's life. And neither does Kira. So after a while I reached my conclusion: Hero=L and Villain=Kira.

2. Yona vs. Su-Won (Akatsuki no Yona)

I think I have this anime in every My Top 5 which is not a surprise considering the fact that it is my favorite anime (that still hasn't a second season). The reason these two are on place two is that they actually love each other but are sworn enemies. It's a love-hate relationship which is the reason that made them such an awesome hero vs. villain duo. She loves him but she must hate him and so fights with her inner self all the time. He on the other hand, never meant this to happen, but it did. And he only loves her. Pure drama! And exactly that drama around their relationship makes this duo unique and interesting, whereas their story is a universe it self.

1.Shinya Kougami vs. Shougo Makishima (Psycho-Pass)

One of the things that made this duo No.1. is the fact that their relationship carried the anime's story. So it wasn't their story that was important but the way they dealt with each other. Two masterminds I've hardly seen somewhere else. Second thing is that they are the perfect image of how a hero and villain should be. Shougo Makishima is the type of character you really get afraid of and start crying the moment you see him. Just like I used to cry as a lil' girl when seeing Bernd the Bread. Man I still hate him. On the other side, you have Shinya kougami who is the hero that no one else understands. The one that saves everyone even though they're all against him. And exactly those things made this duo my N0.1.

Shinya Kougami and shougo Makishima are my No.1. Hero vs.Villain Duo!

God Eater: ANIME REVIEW

You all probably know the feeling when you need to wait for season two of an anime to see how it ends. Awful right? But do you know what's worse than that? It is when you watch an 13-episode-long anime but they take an 5-month-long pause after the 9th episode. While waiting for the 10th episode of this anime I totally forgot about it and finished it just yesterday. And now here is the review for GOD EATER!

Plot and Story Line

First thing's first, the anime God Eater is actually an adaptation on the same-named game God Eater. Produced by Bandai Visuals, God Eater is an action, adventure, military and supernatural anime with a rating of 7,56.
As I said in the beginning, the worst thing about this anime were the frequent delays, especially the one after the 9th episode. Now that the anime is finished and the story nearly complete, let´s discuss it.
So, the story of God Eater takes place in post-apocalyptic Japan in the year 2071. The world was nearly destroyed due to monster-like creatures called Aragami. A special organization with the name Fenrir was created to exterminated the Aragami with weapons called God Arcs that are made of Aragami cells. Since the introduction of a new God Arc type, that can change its form, new God Eaters (Aragami exterminators) are introduced and so is our protagonist Utsugi Lenka. The story follows him and his friends in various missions and battles but also a couple of background stories that follow the main characters.
When it comes to the story, it is actually a well-known scenario. Huge, monster-like creatures attack human kind and they need to fight back. Even tough there are so many anime with one and the same topic,  they all kinda develop their own story in between. Thing is, God Eater is an anime that's trying to tech us what humanity really is. It concentrates on some basic rules of society such as "The strong ones survive" and how we sometimes need to obey the stronger ones in order to survive. One thing that is quite often the topic is 'how to chose between two'. It is something we encounter many times in life and the anime surely shows us how to chose. Other, more additional "stories" that would make up the main story in other anime are pushed into the background. Funny is, most of those stores are actually background stories and flashbacks of the past. But they are actually quite good.
When it comes to our protagonist, Lenka, I would say that his life story is the main story line. Pushed by all the things that happened in the past Lenka fights and craves strength to protect others. That is exactly what drives the whole anime. True that it is also a thing that we´ve seen before (motivational talks, all round Naruto-like optimism) it still catches you kinda emotionally and it doesn't get boring.
In addition to a good story, what made this anime watchable is the action. The action scenes were truly amazing and awesome. Not to talk about the fact that they you have a fight every here and there. I loved it.
On the whole, no plot holes, the story is intriguing and catchy and the background stories are just as interesting as the present story line. Again, it is not just an anime about fighting monsters but it also concentrates on stuff like humanity and society. One more thing: with the last, 13th episode, the anime actually reached its peak, meaning, the story is not over. There is more to it but unfortunately, a second season hasn't been announced yet.

Characters

The characters of this anime are...good. Nothing special in particular but I like them. They are all special and to each comes a different story.  You have a couple of leaders, an emotionally unstable but very talented girl, the "Ron Weasley" kind of friend, a typical villain etc. I'd like to talk about at least these two so if you get bored just skip that and move on to the animation and style section.

Utsugi, Lenka is the protagonist in this anime. He is an opinionated and optimistic character, that reminds me of Naruto in some ways, due to his behavior.  Yet, his most important characteristic is the fact that he's willing to give his own life for the sake of his comrades and friends. He's craving strength just to become able to protect people attacked by the aragami but also to protect people from injustice. He's a motivator and leader respected by the others.

Amamiya, Rindou is my favorite character in this anime. The cool, always smoking leader of the first troop of the Far East Branch. He is a veteran with a long career as a God Eater. When it comes to missions, he is a leader like non other and has only three rules: 1. Don't die, 2.If you're about to die, run and 3. If you get the chance kill it. The most important thing for him is the safety of his comrades. He sees Lenka as his successor when it comes to guiding the others in finding the right path in life.

Alisa illinichina Amiella is the main female character in this anime I guess. I put her here because I've always loved strong and independent female characters like her. True, she's not that strong due to a trauma in her childhood. Her parents were killed by an Aragami and so she sometimes falls into shock during a battle and so fails in her mission. Still she has a lot of pride and always says what's on her mind, trying to act thug all the time. I liked her :D.

Animation and Style

Now this is an amazing example when it comes to animation of 2015. The animation of God Eater is outstanding. I loved it. Colorful, bright colors and smooth. Can't be better. 10/10.
When it comes to style...I loved it. I actually started watching because of the animation and style. The style is so unique and is definitely the first anime to try something like this-a kind of watercolor-3D effect. At least I remember it as the first one. It was also obvious that others liked it to because anime like Ajin and Hai to Gensou no Grimgar copied that style. Besides, I am usually not a fan of monster-looks in most anime, but God Eater nailed it. They are really one of a kind and different from everything else you've see.
Conclusion: The animation and style are so good that even if every other aspect like story and characters were bad, it would be worth watching.

Conclusion

If you don't like anime with the topic of an apocalyptic world destroyed by huge monsters watch God Eater because you'll probably change your opinion about them. If not, than just do because you must not miss such a great animation work. In short, the anime is interesting, the story is rich in good background stories and messages and you get a huge load of action in only 13 episodes. For God Eater : 8/10!

My Top 5 Anime You Can Watch in a Day

Konichiwa minna!
It's me again, Anime Girl. I am here with a new post devoted to the best anime that you can watch in one day. These are actually my favorite kind of anime because, as said in the post before this one, I get easily bored by the same thing. So, I prefer watching shorter anime. The problem is that anime with 12-13 episodes don't have the time for a solid plot to develop. But anime with 24-25 episodes do. I love them! So next time you have a day off, pick one of these anime and enjoy! And here they are: MY TOP 5 ANIME YOU CAN WATCH IN A DAY!

N°5  NORAGAMI (2014) & NORAGAMI ARAGATO (2015)

Noramagmi is a two-seasonal-anime with 12 and 13 episodes respectively. On a whole, the anime has 25 episodes and has a rating of 8,17 and 8,53 (per season). It is a very cute and interesting anime  placed in the genres action, adventure, shounen and supernatural. The story of Noragami is about a the self-proclaimed "Delivery-God" called Yato. Yato is dreaming of becoming a God with millions of worshippers and a shrine and thus, does odd jobs for 5 yen. During and accident he meets Hiyori, whose soul now can leave the body and Yato, as a god, has to fix it. It is a romance, action, adventure and hilarious story that will make you cry of laughter and true emotions. As said, it is hilarious, mostly because of Yato, one of my favorite characters ever. But even though he seems like an idiot, Yato´s personality is far deeper and more complex. If you want an anime to relax, try this one. You´ll love it!

N°4 AKAME GA KILL! (2014)

Akame ga Kill or originally, Akame ga Kiru is a 24 episode long anime that has a rating of 7,86, too low in my opinion. When I fished it last summer I gave it a 9/10 on MAL. Akame ga Kill is an action, adventure and fantasy anime that follows our protagonist Tatsumi on his way in becoming an assassin. He joins Night Raid, a branch of the Revolutionary Army that fights to overthrow the corrupt government and the evil Prime Minister. The anime is a masterpiece that has an intriguing story, with a solid plot and amazing action scenes. Romance is also there but the thing that is really important is the kind of "hidden message". Akame ga Kill is, in my opinion, more like a reflection of today´s society and government all over the world. One more special thing about Akame ga Kill are the "Imperial Arms" or special weapons that Night Raid is using. A truly amazing anime! Worth every second!

N°3 ARSLAN SENKI /THE HEROIC LEGEND OF ARSLAN (2015)

After finishing the first episode of this anime, I dropped it. Later on, I gave it one more try and I am so glad that I did, because Arslan Senki is amazing. It is an historic anime about the young prince of Pars that lost the capital city of the kingdom in a battle to Lusitania, a neighboring kingdom. He soon sets off on an adventure together with general Darjun and tries to take back his capital. It´s an adventure, historical, drama, action and fantasy anime that has a lower rating than it deserves. The MAL comunity rated it as a 7,89/10, but I gave it a 9. It is truly amazing. From the story and the plot, over the characters and back to animation, Arslan Senki is perfect. Yet the thing that I liked the most about it were the battle strategies. They were so intriguing and trust me, you´ll finish this anime 100% in one day just because of it. You won´t be able to stop watching!

N°2 PSYCHO-PASS

This is the most amazing Sci-Fi anime ever! Psycho-Pass is an action, police, Sci-Fi and most importantly, psychological anime that is ranked #88 on MAL. The story takes place in the 22nd century's Japan where the "Sibyl System"  determines the crime coefficient of every citizen and so gives a "proper" judgement. In such a world, young inspector Akane Tsunemori, tries to hold on her honest mean of justice, but soon realizes that the Sibyl system is not as perfect as she thought it was. Yet, the real "action" starts when a certain criminal Shougo Makashima with no crime coefficient, terrorizes the city. Guys you have to believe me, this is the best villain you'll ever see. He is a brilliant mastermind that does everything with such a joy and ease. The characters are so amazing and interesting whereas the animation is even better. One of the best animation ever! So, Psycho-Pass! MUST WATCH!

N°1 AKATSUKI NO YONA/ YONA OF THE DAWN (2015)

It was so hard to decide the first place between Akatsuki no Yona and Psycho Pass. Yet, in the end I chose Akatsuki no Yona, not because it is better, but because I kinda love it more. I am literary fan-girling all the time about this anime. It is an adventure, comedy, fantasy and romance anime about cute, little princes Yona of the Kouka kingdom. The story starts when the man she loves kills her father and she then escapes with her bodyguard and best friend Son Hak. The background story is actually a legend about four dragons with special powers that served king Hiryu of Kouka. It is an amazing take about a little girl growing up and becoming strong enough to take back her kingdom. It is also hilarious from time to time and you just can´t get enough of it. Too bad, there is no season two announced and the story has not finished. Gladly, the manga is still airing and currently I am waiting for chapter 123. Akatsuki no Yona is definitely my favorite anime and I hope I´ll soon be seeing more of it. I hope that you´ll give it a try!

HONORABLE MENTION:

Toradora (2008), Tokyo Ghoul (2014) & Tokyo Ghoul A (2015), Tokyo Ravens (2014), Kaze no Stigma/ Stigma of the Wind (2007), Gosick (2011), Garo: Honoo no Kokuin (2014).

So guys, this is the end of the My Top 5 for this time. I hope this will help you decide the next anime on your "to watch list". Next up is probably one more My top 5, but this time it´ll be about heroes and villains! Thanks for reading!

My Top 5 Anime You Can Watch in Less Than 6h

Kon'nichiwa Minna,
It's watashi, Anime Girl. I hope you're all doing well. It's a lazy, rainy Sunday evening and I think you all know what fits perfectly with an afternoon like this. A short but good anime, round 12 episodes, desu ne? Good thing is that the anime world is full of short anime that you can watch in less than 6 hours. The problem: which one should you watch? Being someone that loves shorter anime, I probably have in my "completed" list an anime for you, and so I came up with the topic for this particular post: "My Top 5 Anime You Can Watch in Less Than 6h ". Enjoy!

N°5 ONE PUNCH MAN (2015)

Do I really need to talk about this one? One Punch Man was probably the most hyped anime ever. Everyone was crazy about it and as expected it quickly hit the Top 20 of Anime on My Anime List. Ranked #15 OPM has a rating of 8.91 but after watching it, I gave it an 8. OPM doesn't have a story line to follow, nor a solid plot. Things just happen there. You literary watch it because it is so hilarious. The "story" is about a guy called Saitama that, together with his pupil Genos, joins the Hero Association, in order to become a certified Hero. It is just ridiculous.  The main character is an overpowered guy that doesn't seem to know whats happening around him most of the time. His facial expression says: "Wat?". If you want an anime with a story, don't watch it. But if you just want to relax and forget your problems by laughing a little bit, watch the hilarious and action loaded "One Punch Man".

N°4 NO GAME NO LIFE (2014)

This anime belongs to a couple of genres, but the best describing ones would be: adventure, fantasy, game-play and comedy. With a rating of 8,50, NGNL is ranked #98 on My Anime List and certainly deserves a place in my Top 5 short anime. It is a story about Sora and Shiro, a NEET brother and sister who are actually a well-known gamer duo playing under the username "Kuuhaku". One day they suddenly got plunged into a different world called Disboard ruled by Ted, the God of Games. No Game No Life is an anime whose story is not as interesting as the happenings of which it is made of. The way they use strategy and intellect while playing is so intriguing and catchy making your brain work at least a little bit more than usual. The thing that I liked the most is the animation. You should give it a try, No Game No Life!

N°3 AO HARU RIDE/ BLUE SPRING RIDE (2014)

Ao Haru Ride or Blue Spring Ride was my first romance anime ever and it was awesome! Ao Haru Ride is ranked #632 and has a rating of 7,92, I gave it an 8. It is a cute story about high school, teenage problems, family and a cute romance. The main character Futaba Yoshioka, was an overly perfect middle school student popular with the boys but mostly hated by the girls because of that. That's why she changes her personality in high school and hopes to find new friends. One thing you should know, the story is not finished. The manga is, but the anime only has one season and I am really hoping for a second one because the manga is great. Drama, fun and plot twists, those are all things that make Ao Haru Ride so awesome. I didn't usually like romance anime but this anime convinced me to give them a try! So you should give this anime definitely a try, too. Ao Haru Ride!

N°2 ZENKYOU NO TERROR/ TERROR IN RESONANCE (2014)

I should watch this anime again... Zenkyou no Terror is a psychological and sociological anime about terrorism. But what looks like an anime about two guys blowing up Tokyo here and there actually turns out to be a story that questions society and politics and the truth behind it. The anime is amazing and very interesting due to all those riddles that the boys Twelve and Nine give before their attack. If the police solves the riddle, the attack won't take place. But as I said in the beginning, they terrorize the city in order to uncover some secrets of the state. There are no bad and good guys, just the ones seeking change, some that try to hide the past and a couple of police officers caught in between trying to protect innocent citizens. How interesting is that? This anime is rated as an 8,28 yet I gave it a 9, because I personally love anime with secret social messages. Zenkyou no Terror!

N°1 DEATH PARADE (2015)

This anime deserves a better MAL rating than just 8,37. I gave it a 9/10 because it is so amazing. Death parade is a psychological anime that really makes you think about life and society. It leads you to a whole new level of understanding of what or who is good or bad. In the afterlife, two persons take part in a game where it is decided who is going to reincarnate and who will fall into he void. The game-master, Decim, soon changes his own perspective and rule of the "game" after meeting someone who is caught in between due to loss of memories.  It is a drama, psychological and mystery thriller that has amazing characters, awesome background stories and life-questioning scenes. There is not much happening and just when you think it got boring something bumps out and turns your attention upside down making you want more and more. Emotional, dramatical and intriguing! A true No1. in this ranking that is worthy every second of the round 5 h you'll spent watching it. You certainly need to give it a try. DEATH PARADE!

HONORABLE MENTION:

Another (2012), Snow White With the Red Hair (2015), Akuma no Riddle (2014), Schwarzesmarken (2016) and Kyoukai no Kanata (2013).

Fact is, shorter anime don't have enough time for a truly amazing story, but for that episode count these anime did a great job. A lot people don't like anime that are this short but I love them. It is because I get easily bored by one and the same thing so just in time when it might become boring the anime finishes and I have the chance to start a new one. I hope there are more guys out there that love short anime just as I do! And next time you don't know what to do with your Sunday afternoon, look up this post and try one of these anime, I highly recommend all of these.

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime: ANIME REVIEW

Good evening my dear anime folk,
Maybe you remember from my previous post Fact and Stuff Anime Head Should Know the hair color symbolism in anime-the hair color describes the personality. BLACK, for instance, stands for an independent, mysterious, powerful character while BLUE means that a character is mature, wise, talented, introverted etc. The color that interests us for now is RED-passionate, enthusiastic, adventurous, dynamic and opinionated which are exactly the characteristics of our main character. Back in Summer 2015, this anime was quite popular but it was the red color that caught my attention a couple of days ago. One side-fact, I love red-haired-characters. So, I gave it a try, and now the review on : "Akagami no Shirayuki-hime" aka. "Snow White with the Red Hair". Enjoy!

-Plot and Story Line-

To begin with some extra info: ranked #621 Akagami no Shirayuki-hime has a rating of 7.93 on MyAnimeList, which is just the right rating in my opinion. Akagami no Shirayuki-hime is a drama, fantasy and romance anime, with a little bit of adventure and action here and there. I would add adventure to the genre list on MAL, but okay... Now let's see what's it about.
Our main protagonist is Shirayuki which actually means Snow White, but as said in the beginning, she has red hair and everyone knows her for that. Her red hair is well known in the country of Tanbarun where she works as an apothecary in her own herb  shop. Even the prince of Tanbarun, Raji, hears about her beautiful hair and decides to make her his concubine. Not wanting to even thing about such a fate, she cuts her hair and flees in the neighboring country-Clarines to start a new life there. Accidentally, she meets the 2nd Crown Prince of Clarines, Zen and his two comrades.  Soon they become very close friends and start a journey full of adventures, common enemies and much more. Zen and Shirayuki support each other in achieving their goals; Hers-to become a court herbalist and his-to become a prince worthy of his title.
For a twelve episode long anime, the story line is pretty solid and even tough you get the feeling that the plot is a little bit forced and rushed it actually fits pretty good. I loved the fact that they did not only concentrate on the relationship between Zen and Shirayuki although it is the main story line. There were a couple of side stories, a couple of background stories and some little extra story lines that supported the main one.
Most important thing for me, there were no plot holes and the story is pretty interesting too. I also had to laugh hard a couple of times. This anime is awesome if you just want to relax and forget your problems for a couple of hours. It makes your heart melt a couple of times but it doesn't cause any stress and that kind of stuff. My recommendation, watch it over the weekend after a hard week and you'll feel much better right after.
One thing that'll made me remember this anime is definitely the, let's say, character trend in anime. The thing that Sakura did in Naruto or Yona in Yona of the Dawn is actually better known in some cartoons as Mulan and The legend of Korra. The main character cuts her long hair to show that she is a new person now and that she is taking another, stronger and more independent path than before. I personally loved that move, because I love independent and strong female characters, but seeing it a couple of times now, it got a bit boring. I don't thing it will fascinate me in another anime again,  but we shall see.
True the anime is cute but I don't think I could watch the second season. At least not now. There is too much cliche romance in it and I found that a bit annoying. But, I am not a great romance fan, meaning it is actually my subjective way of thinking. If you like romance, you'll love Akagami no Shirayuki-hime.
Still, the anime is not perfect which is why I rated it as a 8 on MAl. One reason is the lack in background information about Shirayuki's life. Where are her parents? What did she do all her life? Where does she come from if her hair was so unusual? Not sure if the second season tells us more, but the first one left a huge question mark in my head.
In the end I gotta say, I wouldn't have mind if there were a couple of episodes more between the beginning and the highlight of the first season. The show was cute, nice to watch and interesting. Thumbs up!

-Characters-

The characters are the second reason I rated this anime with an 8. They are too perfect to be good cahracters. I always say, characters with flaws are better because they have sth to work on when it comes to their personality. That's what makes them interesting. In this review I'll say a few things about the main two:

SHIRAYUKI is as said in the beginning, when I explained the color symbolism, extremely enthusiastic, adventurous, dynamic and opinionated. She has the ability to cheer up everyone and always takes care about "doing the right thing", honesty and such things, which can be annoying sometimes. She also ends up being the heroine every time a problem pops out. As I said before, her personality is overly perfect, thus I am not extremely found of her character. But she could represent a good idol for 5-year-olds.

ZEN WISTALIA CLARINES is the most adorable character I've seen in a long time. Even tough his personality is also too perfect and without a single flaw, I could not not like him. Living in the shadow of his older brother, Zen is working hard and trying to become a real prince. He is a little bit naive and a very good person,  but when it comes to important matters or conflicts in his country he  solves them as a real prince without considering his subjective opinion or feelings. He is literary the dream prince every little girl wants to marry when she gets older.

-Animation and Style-

If there is one segment of this anime that deserves a higher note than 10/10 then it is the animation. It is really awesome and beautiful. I can't remember any anime that had such a good animation. Truly amazing. Bright and colorful settings, detailed characters and backgrounds and amazing details.  When it comes to the style of Akagami no Shirayuki-hime, there is nothing much to say. Just like the animation, it is flawless. I loved it and will definitely from now on use this anime as an example of amazing animation. One more thing. While watching the first episode I actually thought of quitting because I found it a little bit stupid in the beginning, but I continued because of the animation. I couldn't miss such a great animation work being someone that hates and usually skips anime with bad animation.

-Conclusion-

If you had a really thug week and you need an anime just to relax and forget about the world for a day, watch Akagami no Shirayuki-hime. It will take you on a little journey, to a different universe where everything is nice, cute and perfect. It will melt your heart in a couple of scenes but you will survive it. I liked the anime even though it was annoying in some moments but you can get over it. The animation and the character and background looks will please your eyes like no anime before. Give it a try and if you decide to watch the second season too, tell me how it was.

"Akatsuki no Yona" Needs Season Two

(A little spoiler alert in the beginning for those who haven't seen the first season!)

First of all hello my dear readers, I hope you're all doing well. I guess you already know from the title what this post might be about. If you didn't pay that much attention, no worreh, I'll tell you. This post is devoted to my probably favorite anime of all. What started as a story of a little 16-year-old princess became a tale I literary fell in love with. Action, adventure, drama, romance...Everything is mixed up in the story of Akatsuki no Yona aka. Yona of the Dawn. After I finished the anime I had to continue reading the manga which is actually unlikely for me, but I did it. I guess all of you that finished the anime recall the scene in the picture above-the highlight of the season. The moment Yona finally becomes a true warrior. Last thing we see in the anime, the group finally meets the last dragon, the Golden dragon called Zeno. What happens next is told in the manga...
Now, the manga is actually the MAIN REASON Akatsuki no Yona needs season 2. It is truly amazing. I must say that I like it more than the first season of the anime. I usually do not believe that a second half can get better, but man, AnY really convinced me that it is possible. But what is now so good in the manga of AnY after the happenings that are told in the anime?

The first thing that comes to my mind is Zeno, the Golden dragon. I've read in many forums that one of the things people don't like in the anime is that the last dragon comes out of nowhere, without any story. True that, you don't get to know Zeno that much in the anime, but the manga and the potential season 2 give a detailed background story about that cute guy. I can surely say that it's one of the most amazing background stories I've read/seen.
Secondly, why AnY needs season 2 is the drama. I won't tell you much but guess what would happen if one of the dragons fell in love with Yona? I don't know either, it's just an assumption, but I am, let's say, 89% sure that it is true. (If you have read the manga tell me what you think in the comments bellow!) Also, can you imagine the emotionality when two ex-best friends, now sworn enemies, meet again? I'll just tell you that it broke my heart.
In the end, why AnY needs another season, is the story it self. What looks like a steady filler story about the Water tribe and the nadai incident, is actually the main story line that carries the most important twist and plot highlights. It is amusing, amazing and incredibly catchy making you want to read more chapter by chapter.
As for me, a great Akatsuki no Yona fan, I can just wait for another season to come out and write in my blog how amazing that would be.
Now, if you agree with the title: "Akatsuki no Yona needs Season Two" than +1, like and share this with your community and friends!
