IT'S AN ANIME THING: The Tsundere

I guess most of you would describe Her as an annoying anime cliche. True, She is one of the most common anime cliches ever but I wouldn't say that it's an annoying one. She is funny and dramatic and most of the time Her personality results in an amazing plot-twist in the anime. From the 'dere' family She is the most popular and common one and today's topic of the "It's an Anime Thing" post series. Give it up for the Tsundere

The term 'Tsundere' is actually slang and it is used to describe a female anime or even game character. It is a combination of the words "Tsun Tsun" and "Dere Dere" and each of them is used when describing the attitude of a person. "Tsun Tsun" describes a cold/curt/blunt attitude whereas "Dere Dere" is used when a person becomes all weak-minded in front of her/his crush or lover. So basically a Tsundere  is a character that acts always cold and bold but becomes spoony when her crush comes around. Also she can be cold towards the main character in the beginning, but falls in love with him later on.

As already said in the beginning, I personally like Tsunderes. They are funny, spirited, dramatic, entertaining and always contribute to the story in a good way. They are always the ones that undergo a character development and are likely to add an additional, yet unexpected plot-twist. I know that there are way to many tsundere in the anime world right now, but I still don't think they are annoying. Truth is, I don't find them as hilarious and entertaining as before but they are still my second fevorite type of characters in anime. My favorite type of character is the strong and independent female lead, but they usually turn out to be a tsundere too.

Representing tsundere: Aisaka Taiga (Toradora!), Makise Kurisu (Steins Gate), Sakura (Naruto), Shana (Shakugan no Shana), Misaka Mikoto (Toaru Majutsu no Index/Railgun), Tomori Nao (Charlotte), Fujibayashi Kyou (Clannad), Toosaka Rin (Fate/ Stay Night: Ultimate Blade Works), Victorique de Blois (Gosick), Mine (Akame ga Kill), Kallen Stadtfeld (Code: Geass), Maki Nishikino (Love Live!), Kaname Chidori (Full Metal Oanic), Ayase Shinomiya (Guilty Crown), Azunyan (K-ON!), Izumi Akazava (Another) etc... There are just too many. Now, if you are quite the newbie in the anime world you'd probably be asking now how to easily recognize the tsundere in an anime. Here are some hints:
  1. She often screams Baka! (Idiot) every here and there and the Baka is mostly the leading male
  2. She's overreacting most of the time
  3. She can be violent from time to time
  4. She is usually blushing in front of the leading male character
  5. When someone calls her cute, she gets insulted
  6. She always has an excuse for doing a good deed-remember she is a 'cold' person
  7. She is bad at hiding her emotions

To conclude, maybe it will get boring in time but there won't be an anime character that will entertain me as much as a tsundere does. My favorite two tsunderes are definitely Aisaka Taiga and Toosaka Rin. Now I want you to tell me what you think about tsundere characters and who are your favorite ones!

Top 10 Anime Production Studios

Did you know that, according to statistics, more than 200 anime shows and movies appear every year on TV in Japan. Also Japanese Anime make up 60% of the total world animation production. Now that's some animation that has to be produced there every year. Gladly we have many and with many I mean  approximately 1058 (according to the number listed on My Anime List) anime production studios all over Japan. Some of them have a long lasting tradition in Japan, some studios are winners of prestigious awards and some of them just fascinate us with their work. Here for you is a list of Top 10 Anime Production Studios that really deserve world's attention and especially the attention of every single otaku out there. I've done quite the research and here is the result. Enjoy!

10.KYOTO ANIMATION

Place 10 in this ranking is the Kyoto Animation Studio that was founded in 1981. They had their breakthrough after producing a very popular anime called "Free!". Their work "Violet Evergarden" was the first to win the Grand Prize in the Kyoto Animation Awards. Today they are famous for the following anime: Clannad, Clannad: Afterstory, K-On!, Hyouka, Kyoukai no Kanata, Lucky Star and Suzimaya Haruhi no Yuuutsu.

9.UFOTABLE

First thing that comes to my mind when I hear Ufotable is amazing animation. Every Ufotable anime I have watched, old and new, has an amazing animation and probably have one of the best animations I have seen. It is a rather new studio founded in 2000. representing Ufotable: Fate/ Zero, Fate/ Stay Night, Kara no Kyoukai, God Eater and Tales of Zestiria the X. I believe that in the future we'll see many great works from Ufotable.

8.TOEI ANIMATION

I think this is the production studio of my childhood. Toei Animation was founded in 1956 and has won many awards so far including the Animage Anime Grand Prix Award for the anime Galaxy Empress 999 (1981), Saint Seiya (1987) and Sailor Moon (1992). As mentioned in the beginning, it is the studio of my childhood because they are the producers of One Piece, Dragon Ball (Z), Digimon and Sailor Moon and other popular anime such as: Neon Genesis Evangelion, Lovely Complex and World Trigger.

7.SUNRISE

Sunrise was founded in 1972 as a subsidiary of Bandai Namco Holdings and has since then been an important part of the anime industry. I think it is not hard to see that Sunrise has focused its anime production on robots. Anime like Cowboy Bebop, Accel World, Mobile Suit Gundam, Planetes, Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon, Kakumeiki Valvrave and of course Code Geass all belong to one genre, Mecha. But Sunrise is also known for InuYasha and currently the best rated anime on My Anime List: Gintama.

6. PRODUCTION I.G

The letters I and G stand for the two founders: Mitsuhisa Ishikawa and Takayuki Goto that founded Production I.G in 1987. The anime Tokyo Marble Chocolate won the Grand Prize in the Feature Film category at the 12th Seoul International Cartoon and Anime Festival held in Seoul, Republic of Korea. They are responsible for two of my favorite anime: Psycho Pass and Ao Haru Ride and many other popular series such as: Attack on Titat, Guilty Crown, Kimi no Todokoe, Higashi no Eden and Ghost in the Shell.

5. MADHOUSE

Madhouse is a production studio that is a winner of two Japan Academy Prizes and two Tokyo Anime Awards for Animation of the Year.  Madhouse was founded in the year 1972 and has produced a lot of great anime. The most popular madhouse piece is probably Death Note followed by One Punch Man and High School of the Dead. It also produced other anime such as: No Game No Life, Hunter x Hunter, Death Parade, Black Lagoon, Btoom!, Claymore etc. One thing that all Madhouse anime have in common is their amazing, if not flawless, animation.

4.BONES

This name is in my opinion the most popular one when it comes to production studios. Bones is known for its good animation and to be honest it is a good one, no doubt. It was founded in the same year I was born, 1998. Representing Bones anime: Fullmetal Alchemist, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Soul Eater, Noragami, Darker than Black, Zestsuen no Tempest, Gosick, Eureka Seven, Kekkai Sensen and Akagami no Shirayuki-hime.

3. A-1 PICTURES

A-1 pictures is a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment that was founded in 2005. It is a really new production studio but it still produced some of the most popular anime ever. Among those is also one of my favorite anime Fairy Tail, but there are many more. Some of them are: Sword Art Online, Ao no Exorcist, Black Butler, Your Lie in April, Boku dake ga Inai Machi, Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic and Hai to Gensou no Grimgar.

2. STUDIO PIERROT

The number 2. in this ranking is a production studio that was founded in 1979. It won the Animage Grant Prix Award for Yu Yu Hakusho and Saiyuki. The name Pierrot actually means clown in Japanese and of course their logo is a clown-head. My two favorite anime ever Naruto (including Naruto Shippuden) and Akatsuki no Yona are produced by Pierrot and those are not the only ones. Popular anime such as Bleach, Tokyo Ghoul and Beelzebub are a Pierrot production and there are many more. Also produced by this anime studio are: Divine Gate,  Yu Yu Hakusho, Tokyo Mew Mew, Kingdom etc.

1. STUDIO GHIBLI

Studio Ghibli is the most popular and probably most successful production studio in Japan and this is exactly why it deserves the first place. Eight out of fifteen of the highest grossing anime films in Japan are a Ghibli production. On the first place is Spirited Away, which also won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film in 2003 (I think I'll watch it tonght). Moreover, another four movies have been nominated for the same category. The Ghibli Studio has tradition and is well known all over the world. It produces anime, mostly movies, since 1985  and here are some of them: Mononoke Hime, Howl no Ugoko Shiro, Tonari no Totoro, Majo no Takkyuubin, Mimo wo Subaseba, Gedo Senki...

How I Felt About CLANNAD!!

Konbanwa Minna-san,
After FMAB, Gintama, Steins Gate, Hunter x Hunter and more Ginatama the anime Clannad Afterstory takes the 9th place in the Anime ranking on My Anime List with a rating of 9.08. The prequel Clannad is on the other hand on the 206th place and has a rating of 8.32. However, it is one of the most popular anime series ever and if not the saddest at the same time. I have known for this anime for long but I actually never wanted to watch it. Reasons?
Firstly, it has about 50 episodes long and I prefer shorter ones. Secondly, it is a romance/slice-of-life and I've not always been a fan of it. And lastly, the animation or more likely the animation style is awful. Well since we have the year 2007 it is not a big surprise. Same reasons I don't watch many other anime like Kill la Kill. Back to Clannad... And despite all the reasons listed above, I watched it. I finally did it. I watched all of Clannad including the Afterstory of course. Now let me tell you what the deal about Clannad is.
First of all, Clannad is an anime that starts of as a nonsense childish supernatural thing that was really annoying in some parts. But then I realized that is just the tip of the iceberg and I was the Titanic. Yes, it is all sweet, little "we are friends, we'll help each other" and "you make me a better person" but on the other hand it is still high school and that's what it is all about in the end. After some time Clannad slowly turns into a serious drama that actually pictures real life. No, not all of your dreams come true. No, it's not always that easy. No, life is not waiting. But yeah it is worth living, at least for the sake of others. And that is just about Clannad.
Clannad AFTERSTORY on the other hand makes you sink to the depths of an ocean called depression. Yes, Afterstory is depressive and if you have a weak heart I really recommend you not to watch it. It is so sad and even thinking about it makes my hear ache. At this point I really mean it. IT REALLY DOES HURT. Now imagine how it was while watching it. Guys, I had literary waterfalls flowing from my eyes. I think there was not a single drop of liquid left in my body (a little bit excessive but on point description when it comes to the amount of pain I felt). It hurt so much. Actually I was sobbing like an idiot in the middle of the living room. My mother couldn't believe that I cried that much about a "cartoon". And after I finished the, i think, 18th episode I just lay down and stared at the ceiling trying to realize what on Earth had happened. It took a while.

**LITTLE SPOILER ALERT**

And of course the amount of pain that hurt my soul wasn't enough. Afterstory had an ace up the sleeve. Around the 20th episode I though I would die of sadness. And after the never expecting plot twist happy end I felt like an idiot and just wanted to throw my laptop away. I couldn't believe what happened and yeah...I don't know.

**END OF SPOILER**

It's been more than a week now and I haven't watched anime since that (except for the the new episodes of anime that aired last week). I just need some time to get over Clannad. And I am really not kidding. I really need to get over all the pain and heal my hart and soul.

SO in short, if you really have a weak heart or if you have any health problems  regarding your heart don't watch it. You could end in a coma like I nearly did even tough my heart is completely healthy. Or at least it was. Clannad and Calnnad Afterstory picture the hardship and in my opinion the worst possible life that exists. I can say for sure, it made me realize that it can happen to anyone at anytime and just thinking about it makes me really afraid of the future. But yeah we have no other option but to live. Well we actually do but we must not be cowards, at least for the sake of the people we love and that love us. That's what Clannad thought me. True it was a very painful lesson but it was worth it.

Boku dake ga Inai Machi/ ERASED: ANIME REVIEW

Welcome to another review post here on World of Anime Girl,
When it comes to the anime I am reviewing today, I need to say that I have actually been avoiding it since it came out in January, 2016.  An then suddenly, a couple of days ago, I decide to give it a chance and guess what happened. I completed the anime in one night. It was one of those 12-episode-long anime that have a complete story in just 12 episodes and after you actually finish it you feel sad because there is no more. Making a second season wouldn't make sense so we are left with an amazing but unfortunately short story that has the title: Boku dake ga Inai Machi or just Erased.

PLOT AND STORY LINE

Picture this, every time an accident is about to happen you get the chance to go a couple of minutes back in time to figure out what is wrong or what might cause the accident and eventually prevent it from happening. That is exactly the way Fujinuma Satoru uses his power he called "Revival", or better said the Revival happens on its own without Satoru's influence. One day, after Satoru is accused of murdering a person very close to him he is sent back in time, not for a couple of minutes but years. Eighteen to be exact. It is the year 1988 and Satoru is still in Middle School. Soon, he realizes that the murder might be connected to the abduction and killing of one of his classmates, Hinazuki Kayo. Given a second chance now, Satoru does every thing he can to save her.
Boku dake ga Inai Machi is a mystery, supernatural, seinen anime that really exceeded by expectations. The story is simple yet highly intriguing and extremely catchy. Right from the beginning the story catches your attention due to some hints that actually introduce us to the story.
Let's now concentrate on the mystery in the anime. After watching some anime that really require your concentration, this anime looks like child's-play. It actually concentrates more on preventing the accident rather than solving the mystery. The mystery  is solved later on but more as a result of happenings rather than actual 'detective' work. True you could kinda predict who the culprit was but the story alone was still interesting. And exactly the mix of simple yet intriguing made me like the anime. It might not be the best anime in the mystery genre but the enjoyment is still a 10/10.
Talking about the story alone, it is a story about friendship and family. In addition, it is an extremely emotional one too. Thing is, most of the story is about 11-year-old kids. And even tough they are just kids, it is remarkable how much they care about each other and how much they take everything so serious. Still, how much serious can kids take something like that? They made a game out of it and thought about it as playing the superhero.
One of the things that would have made the anime better is a story with more depth to it. Also, I have read some comments on the anime from others and most of the think that the anime lacks more infromation and detail about Satoru's power, they think about it as a plot hole. But I actually like it more this way. They could have explained it, no big deal, but this way they left it to your own imagination to figure it out. As it is now, I think it is some kind of power given by the Universe or God because he wanted him to change the things back in 1988. And to be honest, the thing about his powers and how it actually took him back with a purpose is the most interesting part of it. I am still thinking about it and the possible metaphysical background of his power (What an influence Philosophy lessons have).
In short, the story is interesting, it has no plot holes and with more work and effort into the mystery plotting it would have become even better.

CHARACTERS

The bunch of characters in this anime are unfortunately not that special. They are some kind of 1-dimensional making it very hard to establish a emotional connection between the character and the watcher. You can see that they are in pain, that they are happy or sad but you can't feel it. It's probably one of the hardest jobs to establish that connection but it is still possible. True one thing caught me in the end but saying what it is would be just a huge spoiler and since NO SPOILERS is the first rule in my reviews...

ANIMATION AND STYLE

Well if this is not a great animation we have there. I mean that is something you always expect and get from an anime made in 2016. So no big talk about that. The style on the other hand varies from anime to anime and Erased had it's style done very well. Especially the characters look different and unique whereas the backgrounds and settings are also very interesting, like for instance their secret hideout, or the fake Christmas tree etc.

CONCLUSION

If you want an interesting mystery anime but you don't want to get a headache afterwards make sure to give this anime a chance. Boku dake ga Inai Machi is the bast rated and most hyped anime of the Winter 2016 season and if so many people liked it, you'll probably too. Enjoy!

My Top 5 Anime Couples

Hello Minna-san,
(**SPOILER ALERT**) Here I am with a topic that would be more appropriate to be posted on Valentine's Day, but since it is like six months away I'll do it today. Whether it is a action, adventure, psycho, crime or horror anime romance is and always will be an indispensable part of it. Of course when it comes to anime romance, it mostly ends halfway. I already talked about that in an earlier post: It's an Anime Thing  with the topic: A never developing romance. They know that they like each other and we know it too, but in the end nothing specific happens. Yet, there are also some couples that made it and eventually became a part of my TOP 5 of Anime Couples. Whether it's their story or just the way they treat each other these are my favorite five. Enjoy and tell me what you think about it.

No.5  MEI & YAMATO (Sukite Ii na yo- Say "I Love You")

Hard to tell why I like these two. I just do. But let's start from the beginning. A overly popular guy gets bored from all the girls around him and falls in love with the one that is different from all. And of course it has to be the one that has never had a boyfriend or a friend at all. The story is some kind of cliche but it is still cute and extremely funny especially in the Mei x Yamato moments, for ex. when he's trying to make her call him by his first name. Hilarious.

No.4  WINRY & EDWARD (Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood)

The 'more like siblings looking' relationship actually turned out to be a cute love story as a part of one of the most emotional stories that exist in the anime universe. I was literary on cloud 9 after this scene. How he got taller than her, how he actually became a man (kinda) and how he talked about giving her half of his life. They were supporting each other their whole life. In the beginning I had the feeling that only the brothers depended on her and not vice-versa. But later on I realized that she needed them to stay strong. She had to stay strong for them. It just that type of relationship. True I knew that they would end up together, but when it comes to anime...Well, you never know.

No.3  KAORI & KOUSEI (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso- Your Lie in April)

If there is one anime in which you have to cry the whole time while watching it, than it is this one. The saddest yet most beautiful anime I have ever watched and in the middle of it is the relationship of Kaori and Kousei. Two amazing musicians that have been trough a lot, but find each other and it eventually got easier for both of them. She found in him her inspiration and goal while she became the reason he played piano again. True they never had that typical couple relationship but you knew from the start: yes they were made for each other. She tells a lie in April which he finds out in the end. But unfortunately in time he learns the truth it is already too late.

No.2  YUNO & YUKI (Mirai Nikki- Future Diary)

I know, I know what you think. Putting these two as the No.2 on my couple ranking makes me a bigger psycho than Yuno her slef. But what can I do? I just love them. I think that everyone knows about them, or at least about her. Miss Yandere her self. The psycho-girlfriend/killer, Yuno Gasai falls in love with the shy and introverted Yuki. What a couple. And that's exactly why I love them. Two completely different personalities meet and both undergo a character development because of the other one. And everyone that has watched Mirai Nikki knows for sure that Yuki and Yuno love each other. And when it comes to that, I am 100% sure that their love is way stronger than any other anime couple, Even, Asuna and Kirito don't stand a chance against these two. And at this very point I think about watching the last few episodes again.

No.1  TAIGA & RYUJI (Toradora!)

Who would tell that my No.1 is actually a couple from a slice-of-life/school/romance anime like Toradora! Well, what made them my favorite couple is firstly their story. Throughout the whole anime they are being the wing-men for each other and do not realize how much they need, or better love each other. Their relationship turns out into such a great plot twist, which was actually kinda expected but not like this and not so sudden. Secondly, their personalities make them such a great couple that it is impossible not to like them. To be honest, I kinda recognize my self in Taiga a lot. From the looks and from the characteristics. And the third and final reason, their not that cliche couple you see in every other anime, and so is their story. And that's exactly what you have do to be my No. 1 in any ranking. You have to be unique and Taiga and Rjuyi definitely are.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

  • Yona & Hak (Akatsuki no Yona)
  • Futaba & Kou (Ao Haru Ride)
  • C.C. & Lelouch (Code: Geass)
  • Erza & Jellal (Fairy Tail)
  • Yato & Hiyori (Noragami)

Beautiful Bones: Sakurako's Investigation: ANIME REVIEW

YO Minna,
It's me Anime Girl and here I am eating Ice Cream that is supposed to look like a Minion and trying to write a nice intro while listening to the beautiful sound of Fall Out Boy. I haven't watched the TV series "Bones" but I guess the anime I'll be reviewing today has at least a similar topic.  It is a crime/mystery anime that has a very intriguing plot and a very interesting main character. The anime with the longest name I have seen so far: Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru or the English version: A Corps is Buried under Sakurako's feet. Sounds creepy and is a little bit but it's amazing at the same time. Have fun!

PLOT AND STORY LINE

This is with great extend one of the best mystery and crime I have seen. An anime from the Fall 2015  season and a Lantis production, the same producers of some of Mirai Nikki, One Ounch Man, Another and many more popular anime. In my opinion it deserves a better score than 7.5 on MAL and here is all why:
First of all, the story is told in a very interesting way. I kind of retrospective way of telling while the narrator is also the main character of the story Tatewaki Shoutarou. Shoutaru tell us his life story after meeting Kujou Sakurako,  an osteologist he spends a lot of time with and helps her with her work. Everyday they encounter new mysteries and try to solve unsolved cases that all involve...bones of course. He soon learns that bones may tell the way someone died, but never why. The 'why' and how they lived can only be told by people.
Secondly, the plot is kinda made up of cases and some smaller stories but the actual story is much more mysterious and intriguing. Trough the anime you get those hints that make you think about the possibilities of what might have happened and you'll eventually find out...later...when season 2 comes out. There exists a manga but I can't find a page where I could actually read it. Nevertheless, the 'real' story of the anime involves her uncle and her brother if I got it right from the hints and her flashbacks. It's not hard to tell that the story has a really emotional background and  will probably have an interesting outcome. Some rapid scenes and flashes in the anime actually make you realize how most of the cases they solve are connected to each other in one or the other way. It adds up to the excitement and keeps you long enough on tenterhooks to make you finish the anime in only one day.  And in the end it makes you cry because it has only 12 episodes.
Thirdly, the anime has so many morals. It is impossible how good they display the value of life and how they actually make you believe that everyone's life story is special even tough the person lived a simple life. At this point I want to share two of Sakurako-san's quotes that are truly amazing:
"But time never stops. It moves forward endlessly, as surely as bodies burried in the ground will one day become white bones.  Listen, it's always you who stops time. If you stop in fear of future-you gain nothing and nothing begins. You spend your life as though already dead. Wheather you wish it or not- time never stops."
" Don't be too negative. You haven't become ashes just yet."

CHARACTERS

Where was I, oh yeah...Reason 4:

Yes, one more reason that this anime is truly amazing are the characters. When it comes to Lantis production all the anime have overly good characters. In Beautiful Bones (A synonym name for the anime) the diversity of characters is huge and they all contribute to the story in a unique but even way. Of course, Sakurako is the highlight of the story and so is her personality. The thing about her is that she behaves in a childish way but is actually a mastermind when it comes to solving cases and discovering secrets. And even tough her actions are funny most of the time, she also gets really emotional and mature from time to time too. Right after finishing the anime, I added her to my favorite character list on MAL. She is independent yet down to earth and emotional. I always loved this type of characters. And I actually never mentioned her huge passion for bones. She loves bones and has a lot of reconstructed animal skeletons at home.

ANIMATION AND STYLE

And here comes reason 5: the animation and the style of the anime are as amazing as the anime it self. The animation is basically an 'as expected' since the anime is a  2015 production. The style is important here. I can't really tell what it is that stands out so much. I think it's the bright colors and the way they do that 'now let's solve the mystery' scene. Whatever it is, the style makes the anime really unique and makes you not forget it so easy. In addition to that, it makes you enjoy the anime even more. As for me, animation and style are really important and they surely have influence on my anime choice. Right now, I have a really hard time watching Clannad because the style is just horrible.

CONCLUSION

Let's conclude. There are on the whole 5 reasons why you should watch Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru or Beautiful Bones: Sakurako's Investigation right now and there is not a single reason why you shouldn't. The anime is perfect for all of you that like crime and mystery anime and those who love using their brain figuring it out on their own.

Plastic Neesan: ANIME REVIEW

Konnichiwa Minna-san,
It is me, Anime Girl and here I am with some kind of review or more an impression on an ONA (Original Net Anime). I watched yesterday at around 2.00 AM. I couldn't sleep and so I remembered a hilarious anime a friend once told me about. It is an anime with only 12 episodes whereas each episode is about 3 min long. I basically finished a whole anime in less than  30 min.
The name of the anime is Plastic Neesan and it started airing in May 2011. At this point I'd really like to know what took them so long because It says that it finished airing in July, 2012. That's more than a year. But yeah, whatever.

Plastic Neesan is an ONA anime based on the gag comedy manga by  Kurii Cha. It is basically about a third-year high school student called Iroe and her two friends Hazuki and Makina, fellow plastic-modeling club members.
The anime doesn't actually have a proper plot nor an actual story line. It is just a mix of non-sense situations that are extremely funny to watch. They are just joking around, having conversations that don't make sense at all and do usual anime things that make you laugh. When I was to describe the anime in two words I would say: Hilarious non-sense because that's what Plastic Neesan is. In the end, I am still not sure how I should rate it on a scale from 1-10. The anime is horrible compared to others but it is still good in its own freaky way. I guess I'll give it a 7 or 6, I really don't know how to rate something like this.
To conclude, if you want an anime that will laugh the soul out of you and give you good entertainment for half an hour be sure to give Plastic Neesan a chance. And right here you have the whole anime in one video: Enjoy!

Anime Reviews in One Sentence Pt.2.

Well Hello there Minna,
As promised in yesterday's anime review here is the second part of the One-sentence-long-review-challenge. I did the first part exactly one month ago and here is part 2. If you haven't read the first part yet, you can do it by clicking **THIS LINK** here. As said in the first part, it is really challenging to sum up and give a brief opinion about an anime show in only one sentence but it is possible. Last time I did the anime from A-M on my completed anime list and now it's time for the second half. Enjoy!

NO GAME NO LIFE- This anime has a catchy and intriguing story that will catch your attention from the first moment you see the most popular NEED siblings in the anime world.

NORAGAMI- Again an overly popular anime about a God that doesn't even have a shrine but will definitely make you love him due to his funny appearance yet strong character.

ONE PUNCH MAN- I am sure that this is the most hyped anime in history which clearly doesn't have a specific story but laughs the hell out of you and makes you enjoy the most epic fights ever.

OWARI NO SERAPH-It is a nice story about the importance of friendship and family based on the war between humans and vampires that ends up in a way you'd expect the least.

PSYCHO PASS- Being sure that this is the best anime I have ever watched, Psycho-Pass clearly exceeded all my expectations as a mystery, crime, Sci-Fi and action anime about a mastermind villain that you love no matter what crime he commits.

RELIFE- Is a very interesting, funny and intriguing slice-of-life and school anime with a supernatural/fantasy detail that, in time you finish it, will make you ReWatch it over and over again.

ROKKA NO YUUSHA- This anime is a popular one but I didn't like it because of a nonsense story, so forced in the end that it makes you forget what you even watched in the beginning.

SAKURAKO-SAN NO ASHIMOTO NI WA SHITAI GA UMATTEIRU- Is an amazing anime with the longest title I have ever watched about an osteologist that is more than a mastermind when it comes to solving cases that interest her.

YOUR LIE IN APRIL- This anime is the definition of beauty in all aspects, from the emotional, deep and interesting story, over the amazing characters to one of the best animations I have ever seen- a masterpiece of its own kind.

SHINGEKI NO KYOUJIN- I don't understand why this anime is this popular, because it has a overly good story (nothing special), disgusting monsters and fights that make you vomit and the only god thing are the characters and some kind of moral to never give up and-still watchable.

SUKITTE II NA YO- Is a very cute and intersting slice-of-life, school and romance anime that will take you right back to the good old school days and thought of your first crush.

SWORD ART ONLINE-It is also one of my favorite anime even tough the love/fantasy/action story about a future couple captured inside a real life or death game has so many haters.

TOKYO ESP-It is the worst anime I have ever watched and it tells a nonsense story about espers (special power users).

TOKYO GHOUL- Is one of the most popular anime today that has a really interesting yet deep, dark story that questions the core of humanity.

TOKYO RAVENS- Is one of the best anime about magic I watched with a cute and intriguing story and a couple of plot twist that will make you love it even more.

TORADORA!- This is definitely my favorite slice-of-life/school/romance anime because of the intriguing and funny story and of course the amazing characters that carry the story of this anime (you can see the main character in the little box on the left side of the tab of this blog).

ZENKYOU NO TERROR- The story of this anime is catchy and intriguing and makes your brain work more than usual because it is all about solving riddles given by two ingeinous boys that try to cover up their cruel past.

ZETSUEN NO TEMPEST- An anime that starts off really good but unfortunately the story gets lost somewhere in the middle leaving us a patchwork story with happenings that don't add up, yet stays enjoyable because of the characters and their interesting background story.

And this is it guys! Eighteen anime reviewed in only one sentence. Of course I skipped some anime from my list but you won't miss them. I hope you liked today's post and if you ever do such a thing as a one-sentence-anime-review-challenge, let me know! See ya!

Charlotte: ANIME REVIEW

Konnichiwa Minna-san,
Right in the beginning I want to ask you to write in the comments down bellow a super-power, action anime like Kaze no Stigma, Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, Fate/Zero etc. that you'd recommend. It is because I can't find a good anime like those were anymore. The last one I watched is the topic of this post, the review to be precise. To be honest, I didn't expect this anime to be good...but it was really good. Give it up for Charlotte.

PLOT AND STORY LINE

Charlotte is a drama, school and super power anime that would be perfect if it had more action. The story is interesting and catchy  but more in the last third of the anime. Of course the beginning introduces us to the setting and the characters but a little more action could have made it way batter. If you don't know what it's exactly about, I'll tell you:
Charlotte is set in our every-day world with the exception that adolescents have some kind of super powers which they lose in time they finish high-school. The powers are different from user to user and every power lack something making it imperfect. Our main character for example, Otosaka Yuu can posses someones mind and body, bud his real body collapses. The leading female, Tomari Nao can become invisible but only for one person at a time. So you see, a power can be awesome but it always lacks something.
In such a world, scientists capture those gifted children and conduct experiments on them which are extremely painful for most of them. For that sake, the student council of Hoshinoumi Academy-a school for students with special abilities, with Nao as the president, tracks down adolescents with those abilities and invites them to enroll the school for their own safety. One day, Nao and her team encounter Yuu and persuades him to change schools and join the student council.
Yet, what Yuu doesn't know is the true power and strength of his ability. In time he will find out what his real power, and moreover who HE really is. Sounds exciting right?
The thing is, true all that stuff happens trough the story but Yuu and the one watching the anime don't notice anything and the only person that understands everything is Yuu. True, she explains everything later on but in the end. That's why I said that the beginning lacks something like more action. The end has enough action, drama and story development but the beginning doesn't.
Still, the beginning is not bad and it is really enjoyable and funny. Worth watching definitely.
When it comes to the end, you reach the true meaning of "Charlotte" and the core of the whole story. I can tell you this much: the end is made up of the background story of the anime, some really amazing drama, a little bit of romance and a lot of excitement.
There is nothing much to write to an 13 episode anime like this. The plot is interesting, the story line is really good and there are no plot holes. The topic of the anime is not heavy so you don't need to force your brain to understand some heavy stuff. Just lean back and enjoy, that's all you have to do.

CHARACTERS

The characters of this anime are definitely mainstream. You'll find characters like this in almost every slice-of-life and school anime. The tsundere type, the wannabe badass, the model/filstar/popstar/, the fanatic nerd etc. But of course the makers did put a little effort in the main female character. Nao reminds me of Shinoa from Owari no Seraph in a lot of ways, but despite that I really liked her. She is always so cheerful and cute you have to like her. Also, she is a really brave character and a good leader. In the end, who deosn't like tsundere?  I mean, just look at her.

ANIMATION AND STYLE

Well, what should I say. The animation is on point ans so is the style of the anime. It is nothing special but enjoyable to watch. I really need to come up with some ideas to write in this section of the review. If you have any ideas let me know!

CONCLUSION

And to conclude this overly short review, Charlotte is an anime that is definitely worth of your time. You might not be an instant fan but just keep watching and you'll love it.

In the next few days expect the One-sentence-review-part2 post and a review on one more 2015 anime. I hope you'll come by and read more on World of Anime Girl. Ja-na!

Anime Girl in the Manga World

 HELLO there Minna-san,
It is me Anime Girl again and as you can see from the title today, I won't be talking about anime. Today I am writing a post from the manga and I think it was about time to.
First of all let me tell you this, I am not a huge manga fan and there are two reasons for that.
Firstly, the only manga I can buy  in my country are Naruto, One Piece and Death Note. That's all. I know, I have everything on the internet but it gets annoying to read it on the laptop. Good thing is, some time ago I came across this amazing app that you can download for free on Google Play. It is called Manga Rock and in it you can pick your manga source. I of course picked Manga Fox, but you can choose the one you prefer. You can also set a little star next to your favorite manga so you automatically get notified when a new chapter comes out. I love it and so I got rid of the first problem, leaving the second one:
Be honest now, isn't it easier to watch the anime than read the complete manga. Especially the action and the fights are better animated and in color. (True, ReLIFE manga is in color).
The main and probably the only reason I read manga are the unfinished anime series. I mean, it has happened million of times to you too. Your favorite anime doesn't get another season or you just can't wait for it to air and want to know what happens next. That's the reason I am currently reading Fairy Tail, Tokyo Ghoul: Re, ReLIFE, Akatsuki no Yona, Attack no Titan and Noragami.
Of course, the best among those is the one and only Fairy Tail by Hiro Mashima. I literary can't wait to see his work animated again. The story is so amazing and right now it's at its peak I think. I literary wake up every day and the first thing I think of is whether the new chapter is out or not.

So this is a little insight of the manga I am reading, what are you reading and how? Answer in the comments bellow and expect a new anime review in the next two or three days on Charlotte followed by a couple of interesting posts again. Be sure to check it out!
