Interviewing Aniblogger Arria from Fujinsei

Greetings everybody and welcome to a very special post here on World of Anime Girl.
As you might know, I have done a couple of collabs with other anime bloggers this Summer but this time I have a special type of collaboration with another amazing blogger I have stumbled upon on the internet. Today's collaboration is with an extraordinary and really funny blogger from FUJINSEI. Her name is Arria and I am really glad to have the chance to work with her. Me and Arria gave each other five questions and  made some kind of an anime interview from them. We both answered all ten questions and you'll be able to see my answers on her blog FUJINSEI, whereas Arria's answers are right bellow. I hope you enjoy this post and make sure to check out Arria's on FUJINSEI as well. Now without any further ado, let's get to the interview, shall we?

1.      If you could star as an anime character in a live-action movie adaptation, who would it be?

I would like to play the character of Celty Sturluson from the anime Durarara!! I think she would be a very challenging role to play because she literally has no head. Therefore, expressing emotions through the face is impossible. I would need to use my entire body and a smartphone to express her character instead. In addition to this, she’s often involved in hardcore action scenes, so I would need to train for the fight scenes and also to wear that sexy bodysuit. I just think that she’d be a very interesting and intriguing role to play.

2.      If you can choose your own family members, which anime characters would you want to be in your family? Why?
Father: Sebastian Michaelis (Kuroshitsuji / Black Butler) – I wonder how it would be to have a demon butler as a father who can do anything from household chores to annihilating family enemies. It should prove interesting.
Mother: Handa Emi (Barakamon and Handa-kun) – I find her similar to my own mom. Both of them look sweet but are actually very emotional, moody and impulsive. They like things their own way and may react aggressively when rubbed the wrong way. Despite all these, they love their family especially their children very much.
Older brother: Orihara Izaya (Durarara!!) – I bet I would have a love-hate relationship with this kind of sadistic yet extremely smart and twisted older brother.
Pet: Nyanko-sensei (Natsume Yuujinchou / Natsume’s Book of Friends) – Cute and hilarious. A cat who can actually talk back to me and hold a conversation. Not to mention a cat who can transform into a powerful youkai and let me fly on its back. A dream come true, isn’t it?

3.      What anime world would you like to live in?
I would like to live in the world of Hunter x Hunter. It’s a world filled with wonder, adventure, fascinating characters who are heroic or dangerous, or both. Also nen powers sound so cool! And I want to be a hunter!
4.      What anime world would you never want to live in?
I was going to say Attack on Titan, but Lejla already chose it so I’m going to choose something else. Hmmm. I’ll say that I don’t want to live in the world of One Punch Man. There are just so many new and random villains and heroes appearing all the time, fighting against each other and destroying entire cities. I could probably stomach living in this world if I was a high-ranking hero, but if I was just a regular townsperson, I would probably just die without knowing what hit me alongside other fellow casualties. I also don’t think I’d trust the heroes to save me because they’re probably more concerned about boosting their own popularity and rank than actually saving citizens.

5.      As an anime fan and an aniblogger, how do you see yourself in 1 year? 3 years? 10 years?
In 1 year, I’ll still be blogging about anime and hopefully made considerable progress on my never-ending anime to-watch list (I’m optimistic about the former, but doubtful about the latter). In 3 years, I think I’ll still be blogging and connected with more awesome fellow anibloggers across the globe. I also hope that by this time, I have watched season 2 of Yuri!!! on ICE, perhaps even season 3. Please, Kubo-sensei!!! In 10 years, I hope that my blog is still alive and pumping content. Crossing my fingers. Also I hope that by this time I’m celebrating the ground-breaking ending of my favourite series ONE PIECE, or if not, making preparations for its ultimate conclusion.

6.      Pirate, ninja or shinigami?
A ninja-pirate! Who says we can’t have a pirate crew consisting of ninjas? That would be so cool! Being a shinigami also sounds fascinating, but I fear that it might awaken any sadistic tendencies in me and drag me to the dark side.

7.      If you could have any anime power, what would it be?
Kurapika’s chains in Hunter x Hunter. Having 100% control of all the nen types is awesome! Plus I can just have those cool chains as my eternal bracelets.

8.      Favourite anime quote?
I would say Dr. Hiluluk’s dying message from my favourite series, One Piece:

“When do you think people die? When they are shot through the heart by the bullet of a pistol? No. When they are ravaged by an incurable disease? No. When they drink a soup made from a poisonous mushroom!? No! It’s when... they are forgotten."

This quote touched me deeply. It also convinced me that Oda Eiichiro-sensei is a genius. It’s just so true. As long as we don’t forget, a person will continue to live on in our memories. It’s when we forget that they cease to exist.

9.      If you found a Death Note in real life, what would you do with it?
It’s for the good of humanity and the world that I never find a Death Note. I truly believe that I’m a good person and will fight for the good of humanity. However, I also know that I can be very emotional and impulsive at times. When angry, I can be vengeful to the point of cruelty. I’m afraid that in my blind fury, I might write names on a Death Note that I’ll regret afterwards.

10.  What is more important, the villain or the hero?
Both and neither. Anime like Death Note proved that a hero can also be a villain, while anime like Yuri!!! on ICE proved that a story can still be effectively dramatic even without a villain other than the protagonist’s insecurities. I think more than the hero and villain archetypes, the depth of the story is more important.

Short Bio:
Arria Cross is the blogger of Fujinsei. One of the lucky ones who grew up watching anime with family and friends, she's a proud otaku. She’s one of the founding members and the Secretary of the group Otaku Warriors for Liberty & Self-Respect (OWLS). She is always struggling to find the right balance between being a vampiric hermit and a responsible member of society. Probably a cat in a human body, she is ever curious and playful, likes to follow her own pace, and will likely scratch your face off if you rub her the wrong way, but of course you'll end up forgiving her because she's just so charming. She invites you to visit her blog at fujinsei.com where she encourages you to embrace your inner otaku without shame and to befriend other like-minded people, making the fandom even more fun, awesome, and accepting.
